What is collagen? Collagen is a protein that forms the basic building block of connective tissues in the body. The structure of individual collagens is divided into 28 types, with the first three being the most important. Type I collagen occupies 90% of all collagen in the body, it is found in the skin, tendons, bones and ligaments. Type II collagen is found in the cell mass of cartilage. Type III collagen occurs in soft tissues, such as smooth muscles, nerve fibres, but also in hematopoietic tissues and epithelia.
ESSENS Collagen is made from hydrolyzed porcine collagen types I and II. Porcine collagen is structurally closest to human collagen. Animal-based collagen is poorly soluble in water and the body would not be able to use it, therefore it is hydrolyzed (a decomposition reaction by the action of water) to ensure maximum effectiveness in the body.
Acerola is a shrub or tree whose fruits are the richest source of Vitamin C.
L-tryptophan is an amino acid necessary for every cell in the body and supports the production of collagen.
The gel form of the food supplement was chosen for its maximum bioavailability in the body.
Practical packaging with an accurate 50g daily dosage allows for immediate consumption, and thanks to the sealing cap, the dose can be spread over a longer period of several hours.
